  • As prosecutor, Special Investigation Department, Daejeon District Public Prosecutors’ Office, Cheonan Branch (1994 ~1995), investigated manipulation of materials for tax assessment by government employees at registry office (aka “Sedo” case)

  • As prosecutor research officer (Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office) and Seoul Central District Public Prosecutors’ Office (Special Investigation Department III) (1997~1999), investigated raising secret fund, accounting fraud, etc., by KIA group (standard investigation for public funds); false claim for medical bills by a major general hospital in Seoul, nomination corruption in relation to appointment of a professor at Seoul National University Dental College; Uijeonbu corruption scandals involving lawyers; bribery by government employees in relation to installation of traffic facilities; corruption related to researcher developing vaccine for cattle against brucellosis; embezzlement of company fund of NH.
  • As prosecutor in Gwangju District Public Prosecutors’ Office, Special Investigation Department (1999~2001), investigated swindling of compensation to victims of 5. 18 Gwangju Democratization Movement (fabricated documents – 100 recognized and 30 placed in physical custody); former/current county governor’s bribery case in relation to screening test for a construction company which fabricated actual construction data; bribery of an official at the Korean Expressway Corp. in relation to compensation for government’s taking for construction of Seohaean Expressway; government employees’ bribery and land speculation in relation to government taking.
  • As Deputy Senior Prosecutor, Seoul Central District (Special Investigation Department III)/ (2002), investigated ‘Pass 21 Co., Ltd.’s Yoon OO Gate’ incident venture company owners’ embezzlement case; KT officials bribery from suppliers; corruption related to Bucheon Beombakdong redevelopment project
  • As Senior Prosecutor, Jeonju District Public Prosecutors’ Office (2002~2004), investigated embezzlement of chairman of board of directors for Woosuk University; police officer’s bribery case in relation to contractors to build police station; bribery of Imsil County governor in relation to promotion; bribery of officials at Regional Construction and Management Administration in relation to construction; government employees’ bribery in relation to 2002 Worldcup promotion facility installation; corruption of doctors and disabled in relation to issuance of false diagnosis medical record (200 charged, several brokers placed in physical custody); bribery of professor at Chonbuk National University in relation to college entrance exam.

  • As Head of Western Branch, Daegu District Public Prosecutor’s Office (2010~2011), investigated embezzlement of the former chairman of the board of directors of dyeing industrial complex; financial corruption and embezzlement of representative director of the company delisted; bribery of police officer in relation to investigation request; tax official’s bribery in relation to request for reduction of transfer tax; voice phising fraud

  • As Head of Division, Public Security Division II/III, Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office (2004~2006), investigated major strikes such as massive strike of the Korean Confederation of Trade Union, Seoul Metro, Hyundai Motors, Korea Health & Medial Workers’ Union; farmers’ group’s violent demonstration against ratification of rice market opening agreement; employment corruption in relation to labor unions such as Port Transportation Trade Union, KIA Motors, Hyundai Motor Company, Chungang Expressway and bribery of officer at Federation of Korea Trade Union; prepared manuals for countermeasures to group action; interpreted regulations/laws such as revision to labor supervisor’s work •ILO recommendations, etc.
  • As Head of Jinju Branch, Changwon District Public Prosecutors’ Office Jinju (2008~2009), cracked down illegal acts in relation to the 18th election of members of the National Assembly
